Cornell University dean has welcomed ISIS and Hamas on to the school’s campus.
In a video recorded on March 16, assistant dean for students at Cornell University, Joseph Scaffido, invites ISIS to conduct a training camp on school campus.
“It’s just like bringing in a coach, to do training, a sports trainer or something,” said Scaffido.
The video was a part of a sting where an undercover journalist posed as a Moroccan student.
In the video Scaffido is also seen agreeing to provide materials to support the group and says he has no problem at all with supporting Hamas.
Cornell’s vice-president for university relations, Joel Malina said Cornell fully supports the free exchange of ideas and does not review or control the political ideology of students.
“We do not, of course, tolerate unlawful advocacy of violence, and the comment about training by ISIS freedom fighters does not reflect university policy,” said Malina.
Both ISIS and Hamas are on the State Department’s list of terrorist organizations.
