The first thing you notice about the Apple iPad Pro is its size – its huge. You can’t hold it with one hand without risking dropping it or pressing heavily on the screen. Not that it is that heavy – though at 713 gram it is over one and a half times as heavy as the iPad Air – and does break the one pound barrier.
But the Retina display screen size of 12.9 inches does allow you to do stuff that you can’t do with your normal iPad. As Apple says – it’s a “canvas designed for your biggest ideas”. And that indicates that this tablet is partly designed to enable creative professionals to work. And for them to work effectively, they really need the two recommended accessories – the smart keyboard and the Apple pencil.
But as beautiful and powerful as it is, at US$799, will this tablet have the same success as its smaller cousins?
