Whether you are seriously considering a weight-loss program or are just trying to become as healthy as possible, you are wise to begin with water. It is the building block of our bodies and the world around us, without it, we are nothing.
Your brain is 90% H2O when most healthy. A slight decrease in your brain’s mass brought on by dehydration can cause headaches. Often people confuse dehydration with chronic thirst, but most people suffering from dehydration do not know their affliction. To minimize the chance of a headache and to ensure your mind’s maximum capability, regular hydration is essential. Think clearer, and feel better by drinking six to eight glasses of water each day.
What about the chlorine in the water?
Chlorine is considered poisonous and harmful in gaseous form. It causes irritation to the lung tissue, throat passages and other internal organs when the vapor is inhaled and absorbed into the bloodstream. However, chlorine, in liquid form is used in the household water supply to remove pathogenic substances and bacteria. If it weren’t used, the population might be exposed to many different kinds of water-borne diseases.
But combining chlorine with tap water does have some negative consequences. Constant consumption of chlorinated tap waters can cause serious complications in the body. Once your body absorbs chlorine, it can oxidize the cells in the body, causing the tissues to burn internally. To avoid these side effects, many people seek to remove the chlorine from tap water before using it for drinking or cooking purposes.
How to remove chlorine from tap water
Filters that fit directly to the water supply can eliminate the harmful components of the water before releasing it. You can buy them as faucet water filters, under-sink filters and even shower filters. They are not cheap devices, but in the long run, they are probably less expensive than constantly buying bottled water.
You can also use pitcher filters to cleanse the water. By keeping a full pitcher in the refrigerator, you will always have clean and safe drinking water. Another easy way to make sure you get enough water regularly is to get yourself a good water filter bottle or infuser water bottle so that the water you drink throughout the day is chemical free.
